Part of QA PAR-457. Signed-in QA Viewer can read workspace issues; opening /w/design-qa-20261018/issues/new or /settings/general shows a bare No access page. It says an owner/admin can grant permission, but only offers Sign in and Choose workspace; app navigation and a Back to issues action are gone. Sign in implies authentication is the remedy even though the person is authenticated and lacks a role permission. Expected session-aware recovery: Back to this workspace, clear current role and required capability, optional Switch account, and a practical way to ask an owner. Verify desktop and mobile; evidence viewer-no-access-desktop.png and viewer-no-access-mobile.png. Permission denial itself passed; this issue concerns recovery/product clarity.
Implemented in the dependent QA stack: https://github.com/ParadauxIO/taskl.ie/pull/100
Combined verification passed: full API suite (1,306 tests), web lint and TypeScript, unit suite (1,211 passed; one existing skip), 483 Chromium story checks, and the production Next.js/CSS build. Desktop/mobile component evidence and a flow diagram are attached where applicable; server-rendered screenshot gaps and GitHub rollout prerequisites are explicit in the PR.
Awaiting review and merge; production application code has not been deployed by this task.
