Loading issues
Opening the workspace switcher adds a horizontal scrollbar to the sidebar. The menu has min-width: 240px, but at the default 256px sidebar width its slot is about 180px, and the sidebar is a scroll container.
Fix: make the menu exactly as wide as the trigger (left: 0; right: 0) and cut long names off with an ellipsis. A browser test opens the menu in a 180px scrolling container and checks that nothing scrolls sideways. It fails on the old CSS (290 vs 180) and passes with the fix.

The menu now matches the trigger's width. A regression test fails on the old CSS and passes with the fix. Lint, typecheck, unit, browser and stories tests all pass.
