Restore the item catalogue and improve route error recovery

Reproduce /chestshop render failure using database fixtures and investigate production evidence. Repair confirmed cause. Provide plain-language retry and navigation links without framework internals. Verify populated and empty catalogue.

Acceptance: implement behaviour, update relevant player documentation, verify populated/empty states and relevant desktop/mobile and permission boundaries. Record PR and validation here.

Confirmed production errno 1969 (15s statement timeout) on the all-history catalogue aggregate. Implemented key-first pagination plus one latest metadata observation per key for name/material search. Read-only checks on the connected economy database returned the default 50-row page in ~3.5s, an iron search in ~6.6s (previous shape ~42s), and its 90-item count in ~3.6s. Times include tool round trips and are not load benchmarks. Regression tests cover key/name search, matching counts, and complete selected-item aggregates.

Implemented in PR #10, part 1/5 of the PAR-339 stack into develop. Final stack validation passes: 169 unit/integration tests with coverage thresholds, 124 Playwright tests, lint, production build/typecheck, and full Gradle build. Ready for review; merge in stack order. Not merged or deployed.
